More STIR and ISA

So here are the rest of the ROCU pictures I took for the STIR article. It was a really fun project to work on because I got to sit in with the show and see how it worked out. I feel like ROCU doesn't get enough realization, it really is a great student run organization, it's a shame we just can't get any airwaves... So anyways, below is The PPP, or "Punks, Politics, and Pre-Gaming" show and below that is the "Coolest Week Yet", I had a lot of fun with them because they let me give my opinions here and there on different celeb gossip, It was like being on an episode of Khloe and Kourntey Take Miami, lol.

I also thought I would throw in a little project I worked on with ISA. We have International Journey this coming week on Wednesday from 1:30 to 7 in Tilton and you all should come! You learn about different countries and taste different foods from regions around the world, it really is a great, fun event. Anyways, our theme this year is "Where In The World Is Sigmund Freud" after the "where in the world is carmen sandiego" series. Being on the publicity eBoard I get to help create the atmosphere and theme of each event. We split ISA eBoard in half - the good and bad spies - and we are putting up mugshots of "Freud's Henchmen" It's gonna be cute, so here are my faves =)

You may recognize the guy as the same person who's lovely eyes were on the wall this past crit.

ROCU

So I'm in the process of taking pictures for Clark's very own Stir Magazine. We are doing an article about some of the ROCU shows. This is Amy, Colleen, and Kate's show: "We Saw What You Did There and We're Pretty Sure Someone's Done It Before... And Some Anecdotes". It's a neat show, and I definitely want to start listening to more ROCU shows if I can just get it to stream on my computer! Anyways, this is a fun little posed shot of them for the magazine, I'll be doing a couple other shows this coming week. You guys should run out and get STIR when it comes out! It's really a greatly put together magazine.

Fall Break

So I wen't to RI with Molly and our friend Lauren this past weekend. It was great! I love Rhode Island, it's so beautiful, and this weekend was no exception. I got some great pictures, but I wish I would have taken more. Here are some that I've edited so far:

"Fall" Victim

Fall is definitely here! All the rain and colored leaves are sure proof. I love it, fall is by far my favorite season. Since I've lived most of my life in South Florida I never really got to experience fall the way it should be experienced, one of the big reasons I came up here for college. There will be lots of fall pictures up on my end for the next crit so here is a sneak preview. =)

Euphoria!

So ISA and ROCU hosted Euphoria last night in the Caff. Of course I couldn't miss this opportunity to try out the new Wide angle, what better way to get the whole dance floor? After fooling around with some settings I finally got some interesting pics. They are more aestetically pleasing and weird than "good" photographs, but I think the enhanced neon colors, bright brights, and dark darks gives the pictures the club image that encompassed the feeling of the night.

This girl was out of control! It was so bitchin though, she was "glowsticking" - I feel like there is a different name for it - and she was neon and colorful and awesome so I HAD to take some pics lol. I probably could have gotten better ones had I taken more, but these are pretty good for the amount I took.

Yup, so overall Euphoria was awesome. And... that's my post. Sorry it's late again!

The result of a rainy morning. They are my favorites, the best to get cozy, put on a rainy day playlist, and have a nice hot cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa; and that's just what I did. Obvi I was absolutely as comfy as I could get. With the lovely lighting coming through my roomie's window I couldn't resist to snap a shot, gotta love the soft light on all the folds of the clothing and blankets. Like the other self portraits from before they are way to grainy to print, but good enough for a blog post =) Also I don't quite want to give away my new stuff for the crit.

I totally suck at updating this thing, now that I have a planner, though, I should start being more on track.

Strange and Beautiful

Friday already? My my how time flies.

Only posting a couple pictures tonight because my friends and I haven't had much collaborative time to get the shots I want from them yet. I probably won't put these on my contact sheets because they are super noisy since I used 1600 ISO and my room was pretty dark when I took them. A lot of editing went into them too so sharpening them to make them presentable did some damage as well.

I like them alright. I was looking at some self portraits on flickr the other day and saw some that I really liked. I would like to try and get the affect they made on me into my self portraits, but I'm not quite there yet. Also, I need better lighting, lol. The first picture edited a little better than the second, but I liked my expression most in the second picture so I decided to throw it in anyway. Uhm... I guess that's all for now.

Watched Step Up 2 with the suite-mates tonight, kinda feel like busting out some sick dance moves, lol. We'll see what happens. Btw, if you want to listen to some cool music mixes for chilling out or dancing around or whatever check out 8tracks.com, it's pretty badass.

Northern Downpour and A Roomful of Silliness

It's raining as it was yesterday and will proceed to do today. It kind of sucks cause it's the weekend, but I don't really care cause I love it.

Best Part of the Summer

First Post! I love blogs, they are so fun. Alrighty, since I already rambled all about myself over in the about me over there -->

I think I will get down to business and post some pictures already!

Every summer my sister and I visit

my Aunt and Uncle in California. They live in Oakland, so we usually always visit San Fran (my fave US city of all time), but they also always generously take us to some amazingly beautiful place in either CA or somewhere in the US. This summer we took a road trip to a quaint little beach town called San Simeon, it pretty much looks like Monterey. Amongst our adventures we saw Hearst Castle, finely dined on some delicious sea food, visited some wineries, and took a couple hikes on our way home along the coast. So without further ado, here are some pictures from my travels!
